Nisha Noroian was born and raised in the small Southern California town of Blythe. She graduated from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Agriculture Business with an emphasis in agricultural policy and law. While Nisha attended Cal Poly, she studied abroad in Thailand, Cambodia and Laos, learning about Southeast Asia architecture, agriculture, and trade policies. Nisha grew up on her family’s farm in Blythe and has worked every summer for her parents since she was eight. Prior to attending law school, Nisha worked as the farm’s Assistant Manager.
Nisha attended the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, where she received a Juris Doctorate in 2011. During her time at the College of Law, Nisha interned for U.S. Senator John McCain and the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions in Washington D.C., working in homeland security, immigration, natural resources and Indian law as well as implementation of the Affordable Care Act. She also worked for the U-Haul, Inc. in-house legal department at their headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona regarding anti-trust, non-compete clauses, contractual transactions, water law, zoning and moving regulations. Nisha was Book Review Editor and a Production Editor for Jurimetrics: The Journal of Law, Science & Technology, a publication of the American Bar Association, where she was named Associate Editor of the Year in 2010 and Mentor of the Year in 2011. Nisha’s published article, “Prior Appropriation, Agriculture and the West: Caught in a Bad Romance” explores the evolution of water law in the west and the effect it has had on agriculture water conservation (51 Jurimetrics J. 181 (2010)). In the Spring of 2011, Nisha studied abroad in Israel where she studied crisis negotiation and took a course on Military Rules of Engagement with the Israeli Defense Forces.
Nisha is still involved in her family’s farming operation and enjoys being a part of the agricultural industry. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, cooking, driving her 1967 Ford Mustang and watching the Arizona Diamondbacks play.
Prior to joining Poulton & Noroian, Nisha’s legal practice focused primarily on medical malpractice, personal injury, and probate law. Nisha is admitted to practice law in the State of Arizona.
